The "abdominal" is the last paragraph is actually unintentional—a mistake on my part. I obviously meant “abominable,” but once I saw the error, I decided to keep it. And the week-long gap between columns is probably not a precedent; I just wanted to get this out there.
Yeah, I probably was majorly influenced by Welcome to the PalinDrome—even if I cannot quite see such influence.
Update: Ironically, today's entry on the wonderful blog Things More Experienced than Sarah Palin (okay, I never heard of it before looking on Google Blog Search twenty minutes ago to see if my piece has been linked anywhere, but it is worth reading) was "My Amoeba in Spore Origins," which brings up something extremely pertinent.
It is incredibly disturbing that the McCain campaign goes to such great lengths as to make it appear as if Palin is a put upon woman being attacked by the media. I mean, really? The woman is a vice presidential candidate. When you become a candidate for any office higher than city councilperson you are basically putting all your dirty out there for everyone to see, despite your best attempts to hide it (I would refer you to John Edwards and Bill Clinton for more information on that topic.).
